Redcliffe House Swansea

Meredith House Swansea
Winner of the Tasmanian Tourism Awards 2006 Peoples Choice Award. Built in 1853, Meredith House has 11 bedrooms. 6 ensuite bedrooms upstairs, a ground floor suite. There are also 4 ground floor Mews studio rooms, 3 with spas, Queen sized bed & single bed, a small kitchenette & dining area & a private veranda on to the garden.

We have a comfortable guest lounge where you can relax with a complimentary glass or sherry, or choose something from our extensive Tasmanian wine list which offers the best of locally produced, cool climate wines.

We believe a great Bed and Breakfast should provide two essentials, a great bed and a great breakfast! A full cooked breakfast is included in the room rate. We use the best, fresh Tasmanian produce. We are also able to cater for people with specific dietary requirements, such as gluten or lactose intolerance. We stock soy milk, lactose free milk and gluten free foodstuffs. When comparing room prices, remember, a full cooked breakfast is included in all of our room rates.

The house sits on a hill overlooking Great Oyster Bay. From the veranda & superior double rooms there are sweeping views of the Freycinet Peninsula. Swansea Beach Chalets
Swansea Beach Chalets has several Chalet styles with stunning views from the property of the Freycinet Peninsula over Great Oyster Bay and a private beach. Spa Chalets have private balconies above the beachfrontage with a queen bed in the main bedroom and singles in the other. New studio chalets have open plan but separate living space opening onto balconies with spectular coastal views. The Chalets offer great protection from the coastal elements whilst providing all the comforts of home. All chalets/studio are self contained with linen supplied.

We serve dinner Tuesday to Saturday from December to April. The restaurant opens for dinner only on Friday & Saturday from May to November.
